CTR360 Maestri II (Loyal Blue)
Facts and Review...
The Maestri's have gone through a good but subtle change for their first remake. A new rubber apparatus, reminiscent of the Laser III, has been applied to the instep to provide a spot to receive a pass. So far that new design has shown itself to be pretty useful. The upper is largely the same, and entirely the same material, that being Kanga Lite. Kanga Lite has shown itself to be very useful, and these shoes don't weight two tons in a rainy game (like a Tiempo).
The studs are definitely different, although not entirely in a bad way, they are deeper and thusly provide better traction, an obviously bonus, as you can even use them in a nice wet, soupy field.
The dampener on the forefoot is a terrific addition too, the original Maestri's had them too, but it wasn't really well explained at the time. The dampener is essentially meant to produce less rebound when receiving a struck ball, and allowing you to keep the ball close to your feet on a first touch, an obviously advantage.
