Predator Absolado (Royal)
Facts and Review...
THIS is the Absolado you've read so much about from our posts on the more modern version. It breaks, it's not all that comfortable, it's not all that attractive, but hey, the price is right!
We mostly kid on these ones, but in truth they aren't as terrible as they're made out to be. They are actually fairly comfortable, and they are quite durable, it's just that this year's model is better in both arenas. And yes, the price is right, no question, particularly when you figure in the notion that you'll probably be able to get two seasons out of them.
It's a synthetic material that Adidas was wise to move away from, and was once used in $200 Predators back in the day, but it holds up well. As for the fit, it's a standard Pred fit, true to size, and just a little bit narrow. The bladed studs release fairly well, but they don't disperse weight quite as well as the new stud pattern on the Absolados.
